Administrative History: The Elisabethstiftung für Blindenunterricht was founded in 1845 and included at various times residential facilities, workshops, and educational facilities. Today it is called the Provinzial-Blindenanstalt Düren and includes a residential school, the Louis-Braille-Schule Düren.
