Administrative History: In 1984, the American Printing House for the Blind began a project to "review and evaluate existing research on low vision and to identify current research needs for low vision." The project resulted in two documents: "Annotated Bibliography of Research in Low Vision," November 1985, compiled by APH Research Associate Eleanor Pester, project director; and "Identification of Research Needs for Low Vision: Final Report," released in July 1987.
