- Lou Harpenau was working in radio and television at WAVE (Louisville) when he started as a part-time narrator for the American Printing House for the Blind (APH) in 1970. Some twenty years later, he became a full-time narrator in the Talking Book Studio of APH. He talks about the narration process; about reading Newsweek, as well as other publications; and mentions some of the early recording technology that was used before the company switched from analog to digital recording.
