Scope & Content: This item is a two-page typewritten letter bearing Helen Keller's handwritten signature, "Helen Keller," in pencil. Printed at the top center of the first page is "Helen Keller, 15 West 16th Street, New York 11, N.Y." The letter is dated September 14, 1951. It is addressed to "Mr. F. E. Davis, President, American Association of Instructors of the Blind, 1839 Frankfort Avenue, Louisville 6, Kentucky." --2nd page. Keller is asking Davis to help the blind with a bequest to the American Foundation for the Blind. "The letter consists of two quarto-size pages, each on a separate sheet of bond paper" --Examination, p. 2.
