Summary/Description: The Leader's Guide was one part of the Braille Code Recognition (BCR) Teacher's Kit, an instructional materials product of the American Printing House for the Blind designed to train teachers in the use of the company's Braille Code Recognition Materials Kit. APH catalog number, Teacher's Kit: 1-0325; standard print. "5-12-83" handwritten in pen at top right of front page; may indicate that this copy of the Leader's Guide, on ivory-color paper, was produced in 1983.

History/Provenance: Braille Code Recognition (BCR) Materials Kit was approved for production in 1973 as an instructional program for use with braille-reading students. Additionally, an Instructional Kit for teacher's was developed to train teachers in the use of the BCR kit. The Teacher's Kit included an instructional audiocassette, practice/assessment packets, handouts, evaluation forms, and a Leader's Guide. This "Leader's Guide" for the Teacher's Kit was transferred to the APH Museum from the APH Research Department.
