Cover snaps on the case; case and cover are made of Cycolac. Name plate on top reads "Lavender Braille Writer." Plate on bottom reads, "The Lavender Braillewriter Serial No. L 3987, Manufactured By The American Printing House For The Blind, Louisville, KY., U.S.A."
