Description: The Kentucky Modified Perkins Brailler is a computerized braillewriter/printer made by modifying a Howe Press Perkins Brailler. It sits atop a gray metal box that houses the power supply, computer chips and a small microprocessor. An on/off switch, RS232 port, power cord jack, and a fuse indicator are located on the back panel. On the right is an exposed chain that connects with the motor in the box. The brailler has plastic braille keys and a spacing key. See also 2003.185.3.
