Description: Black-and-white photograph taken April 14, 1992 shows Governor Jones, seated at his desk, signing braille legislation which created new Sections 1, 2, and 3 of KRS Chapter 157 and amended KRS Chapter 156.476, Section 4. Standing behind him are representatives of various blindness organizations/agencies who supported the bill's passage. History/Provenance: Photograph belonged to Will Evans who attended the signing. At that time, he was the superintendent of the Kentucky School for the Blind. He donated the photo, a copy of the original taken by official state photographer David Bryan, to the Callahan Museum in 2006.
