Description: Black-and-white glossy; shows four men who participated in an interdenominational Service of Worship arranged for the World Conference on Welfare of the Blind by the John Milton Society and held at the Protestant and Orthodox Center, New York World's Fair, August 2, 1964. Left to right: Reverend Dwight C. Smith, General Secretary of the John Milton Society; Kinglsey Dassanaike, Vice President, World Council for the Welfare of the Blind; John Jarvis, Secretary General, World Council for the Welfare of the Blind; and Reverend Dale C. Recker, Secretary for Service to the Blind, American Bible Society. Jarvis and Dassanaike wear "World Council for the Welfare of the Blind New York 1964" ribbons on their suit lapels. Jarvis, who was blind, holds a print/braille program of the service. The ministers wear clergy robes and vestments.
