Scope & Content: James (Jim) Durst began serving as an Ex Officio Trustee (EOT) of the American Printing House for the Blind (APH) in 2001, when he became superintendent of the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired. In addition to his experiences as an EOT, topics include the various jobs that he has held in the blindness field (itinerant teacher, classroom teacher, principal, and superintendent); APH services and products, including Building on Patterns, MathBuilders, Word Playhouse, and technology and electronic devices; the Council of Schools for the Blind; and the APH InSights Art contest.
