History/Provenance: Jack Keitzer invented a checkwriting guide in 1954 for his mother-in-law in Indiana, who was blind. By 1975, he had developed an all plastic commercial version, which he patented in 1977, had manufactured in Florida, and he and his wife Betty Jo marketed the guides. He donated his remaining stock and the molds to APH in 2018.
