Description: Two (2) black and white prints; (.108) man stands at right with a number of balloon strings in his hands that stretch up out of the top of the frame; there is a crooked white cane on the table behind him; he is heavy-set and wears dark trousers and a white, short-sleeved short; his hair is short and combed back; to the left another man stands in front of a tank of gas, while four children look on; the second man's eyes are closed; there are tents and trees in the background; (.109) is another angle of the same scene, showing more clearly the man at the gas tank inflating balloons and a carnival atmosphere in the background.

History/Provenance: William Taylor, Jr., of Media, PA, an attorney, was known for his efforts in support of universal white cane legislation. Taylor, who became blind as a young child, was active in the PA Federation of the Blind and the PA State Council of the Blind. These photos accompanied a letter to Father Carroll filed in the Mass. & Govt. Items box, 1940s-1950s folder.
