Accession Number: 2003.199
Description: The illustration is printed on the recto inside the folded sheet. On the opposite page is printed the fable of "The Blind Man and the Lame Man." Ernest Griset's signature appears at the bottom right corner of the illustration, which shows a blind man with a walking stick carrying a man with a peg-leg piggyback. The "Lame Man" wears a sword, a feathered cap, and a sack on a stick thrown over one shoulder. His face is alert and he appears to be enjoying the ride. Although obviously on a road, the background in the print is rudimentary in comparison to the detail devoted to the main characters.
