Summary/Description: Contracted braille; embossed on one side only. Paper covers with white plastic comb binding. At the General Session of the 2000 AER International Conference, held in Denver, CO, presentations were made honoring the contributions of 32 "heroes and pioneers" of the blindness field (these individuals would later become the first inductees of the Hall of Fame for Leaders and Legends of the Blindness Field). "Display Only" copy, the program lists the 32 individuals in alphabetical order, as follows, and includes a brief biography for each compiled and written by Dean and Naomi Tuttle: Georgie Lee Abel, Samuel C. History/Provenance: Program was donated to APH in April 2010 by Sue Melrose who attended the 2000 AER International Conference. The program was kept in the office of Bob Brasher, APH Vice President of Advisory Services and Research, and transferred by him to the APH Museum in May 2010.
