Description: (a) Steel safe, enameled black; heavy steel casters aligned to sides; sides painted with red, gold, and green pinstriping around four panels with a gold, red, and white rosette in the middle; the heavy outer doors open on nickel plated hinges; the outer door frame is trimmed with cast columns with floral rosettes in the corners; the outer doors feature a hand painted beach scene in upper left with a derelict boat frame washed ashore in the foreground; "AMERICAN PRINTING HOUSE FOR THE BLIND" in gold foil and blue shadowing under cornice; vines and scattered gold flowers decorate the doorfronts; nickel plated brass pulls and combination lock knob; "HALL'S SAFE & LOCK CO./Louisville & Cincinnati" angled across both doors; "45281" stamped into pulls on outer doors; insides of outer doors painted with floral bouquet in form of elongated cross inside gold and light blue pinstriping with red sunbursts in corners; fronts of inner doors have a gold and red fruit bowl full of fruit, inside gold and light blue pinstriping with red sunbursts in corners; nickel plated brass keyhole cover swivels aside; inside of safe lined with wooden frame and 1/4" shelves; (b) three cylinder brass combination lock mechanism, each cylinder stamped with number 1 through 3, outer steel cover painted red and stamped "44479".
