Description: Sepia-toned glossy; shows an American Printing House for the Blind employee operating a Hall Double Cylinder Press; he is wearing a long-sleeved button-down shirt, a soiled worker's apron, and eye glasses; he is holding sheets of paper to feed into the press; there are three large windows on the wall behind him with the shades pulled halfway down; a calendar on the wall to his left says it is Thursday, January 19; another calander above it shows smaller monthly calendars on it; there is a radiator to the right of the press. Reverse: "single sheet Braille cylinder press."

History/Provenance: New superintendent Susan Merwin (1874-1923) ordered at least one press from the Hall Printing Press Company in Dunellen, NJ in 1921 as part of moves to modernize the plant. It was a double cylinder press.
