Four large ionic columns are visible behind the students. The students are organized by gender and age; younger students are seated on the first four rows of the stairs, older students stand in the back row; female students are pictured on the right side of the stairs, male students are on the left. Standing center in the back row are superintendent B. B. Huntoon and his wife, Mrs. Huntoon.
