Description: Black-and-white glossy; a girl student in a Louisville public school is sitting on wooden chair reading a large type book that rests in a wooden bookstand on a wooden desk; book is open to a page of rhyming riddles; she is wearing glasses, dress, and a bow on her head. A chalkboard is behind her; "3/4 X 3/2= [?]/8" at the top edge partial in the photo, another equation "15/8=1 7/8" and "raw, peas, beans, shell" written on the chalkboard. Museum has another copy print (c.1) of the same photo that measures 4(h) X 6(w) inches.

History/Provenance: Photo has been in the APH Museum collection since at least 1994. The photo may have been taken at Gavin H. Cochran Elementary School in Louisville, Kentucky where a sight-saving class was offered for low vision students.
