Description: Kit originally included a pack of brightly colored cards; 4 circular, plastic card holders; a discard/draw rack; two sets of white dice, one with raised black dots and one with incised black dots; a plastic dice shaker with cork liner; three generic game boards; a set of six tactile/visual game pieces; a spinner with 6 tactile overlays; a sturdy box with lid, for storing small parts and confining dice as they are rolled; a copy of the book "Educational Games for Visually Impaired and Sighted Children" with some 100 games designed for visually impaired children (author, Patricia A. Gallagher), and a vinyl zippered carrying case with cloth handles. This accession included the book (see separate catalog record) and the following parts of the kit: .2a - Yellow spinner. .2b-h - Seven white overlays for spinner. .2i - Red game board. .2j - Blue game board. .2k - Tan discard/draw rack. .2l - "The Game Kit," a 7-page printed description of the kit, its pieces and uses, written by Eleanor Pester, Project Director, and Debbie Willis, Assistant Project Director, APH, 1986. .2m - Tan vinyl carrying case with zipper and brown straps. .2n - Green game board. .2o - Green dice shaker. .2p-t - Four card holders (blue/yellow/red/black) with foam inserts, in a U.S. Playing Card Company cardboard box .2u - One pack of blank 3 x 5 index cards (yellow/green/blue/orange/pink) .2v-x - One pair of dice with incised dots, in a drawstring white-cloth bag with APH logo stamped on front. .2y-z - One pair of dice with raised dots .2aa-ae - Six colored plastic playing pieces .2af - cardboard storage box for small parts.
