Description: Hinged slate; 22 lines, 24 cells; top plate is aluminum and has a sliding line gauge along the left side; 1/8 in. brass-rimmed holes are along the right side, one at the end of each line and at the top and bottom corners; a hinged clamp with a magnetic strip is attached at both the top and bottom of the top plate to secure paper; no pins; bottom plate is heavy metal with furrows; two strips of cloth tape on the back keep the slate from sliding. "M. Marsella, Torino, Brevetto - No. 69529." --paper label on top plate. A large size of the Marsella slates.
