Description: Fred Morsell’s acting career spans over thirty-eight years, and includes seasons with Actors’ Theatre of Louisville, The Repertory Theatre of Lincoln Center, The New York Shakespeare Festival, and other regional theatres. He appeared both on and off Broadway in numerous plays and musicals, and has an extensive background in film and television including appearances on Hill Street Blues, L.A. Law, General Hospital, and One Life to Live. Best known for his portrayal of Frederick Douglass, Fred performed at many of the nation’s Douglass centennial celebrations, staged throughout 1995. He read for APH from 1964 to 1984.
