Description: Six (6) BW snapshots of student Frances Wright practicing cane travel on the campus of the Maryland School for the Blind (MSB) outside Baltimore, MD; edges of prints are scalloped. Wright was the first civilian student trained in orientation and mobility by Richard Hoover following Hoover's discharge from the U.S. Army Medical Corps in 1946. At the time, Hoover was a first-year medical student at Johns Hopkins, but living at MSB in Baltimore.
