Description: Cast iron counter type platform scale; 12x15" unpainted platform; two vertical colums support the double brass beam; left hand column is classical doric column with wing shaped cutouts uo its entire length; right column is open cast "FAIRBANKS" lettering with curve to right at top, and with integral weight storage bar near bottom; three round loose weights, each with a slot to allow storage: 50lb, 100 lb and unmarked; double brass beam has sliding brass weights, upper bar marked to ten lbs in 1 oz divisions, lower bar to fifty lbs in half pound divisions; calibration weight on screw at left of beam, with a "scoop-weight" immediately above to account for use of a tin or brass scoop during weighing; cast on parts underneath "10983 Imperial" and "11206 Imperial"; cast in front of platform, "FAIRBANKS".
