Administrative History: APH received a grant from the U.S. Department of Health, Education & Welfare to study listening as a study method for blind students in 1967. One component involved researchers studying the tasks involved in aural studying. Three books, Adventures in English Literature (1963), A Global History of Man (1962), and Modern Physical Science (1962) were recorded and produced on 16 2/3 rpm vinyl disks for use in the study. See annual reports from the APH Educational Research Dept from 1967-1975. A series of interim progress reports was submitted to HEW by APH as well as a final report, all now found in the Migel Library.
