Description:
(a) Rectangular composite base with rounded corners, painted bright red, with four black rubber feet screwed to bottom; aluminum and steel chassis is painted red, black keyboard plate and diebox arch; carriage is nickel-plated and blued steel with exposed pulley style spring on front left; carriage release lever on lower right side of chassis; black wooden lower paper roller with knurled knobs on both sides and a spring-loaded steel paper clamp fitted into groove in roller, black rubber sheathed steel secondary paper roller on top; splayed steel keyboard with wooden keys topped by white plastic, space bar in center with key perpendicular to the key arm; serial number 869 on left side of the toothed front carriage bar; gold label on keyboard plate which reads "Mechanische Werkstatt fur Blindenhilfsmittel der DDR-7033 Leipzig Burgauenstrasse 9"; (b) russet faux leather vinyl carrying case, zipper closure, tooled strap riveted to sides.
