Scope & Content: White APH envelope has a pictorial postmark stamped in black ink on back top right corner. Postmark contains the text: "150 Years of serving the U.S. by creating educational and lifestyle products for people who are visually impaired. APH Station January 23, 2008, Louisville, KY 40206," and the APH logo printed above the words "150 Years, 1858-2008, Building Independence." Braille text at bottom left corner reads: "APH Building Independence for 150 Years, 1858-2008." Administrative History: The United States Postal Service issued a pictorial postmark on January 23, 2008 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the American Printing House for the Blind (APH). The pictorial postmark, designed by APH, was stamped on APH business envelopes. Braille was embossed on the envelopes, upon request, using a braille impressor at APH.
