Description: Brass embossing plate, bend on right side to fit into embossing press, embossed with raised line map of Mercator's Projection of the world; continents have raised parallel lines in their background, each running a different direction to assist with differentation; major rivers are marked with two raised lines; equator and the tropics are marked with line of raised dots; captions in Modified American Braille; map is from the APH translation of Dodge's Geography, Part 2, figure #114, published by APH in 1912 in four volumes.
