Description: Embossing plate for tactile map, grid street pattern with various buildings indicated by raised nail heads; plate originally cast from printer's metal, some machine tool marks evident in recessed areas; plate pinned to wood block; embossed lines and pigmentation on wood block beneath the plate suggest that the block once formed part of a tactile map or diagram of some sort and was reused.
