Scope & Content: Collection of physical, political, and historical maps of the world. Maps were embossed and printed by WPA [Works Progress Administration] Project 7291, at and under the direction of the Perkins School for the Blind, MA. Produced using brass embossing plates, the raised-line maps are on white paper and have contracted braille text. They are loose in 7 black paper folders; 50 maps to each folder. Folders are secured with blue ribbons. Each folder has gold lettering and braille on front left side, as well as a list of contents in braille and print attached to the inside front folder cover. Missing maps 301, 302, 303 from folder G.
