Summary/Description: Whole words and parts of words are embossed on the front of the folded green sheet in both grade 1 1/2 braille and raised letters. On the back of the folded sheet are numbers, letters, and punctuation embossed in grade 1 1/2 braille, with the print equivalents in raised letters, numbers, and symbols. "Condensed Key 6&." is handwritten in pencil on the back, along the top edge. "Authorized by the Commission on Uniform Type for the Blind, November, 1917 Watertown, Mass." --front of folded sheet. "Revised Braille--Grade One and a Half" --back of folded sheet. "The American Commission on Uniform Type adopted grade 1 1/2 braille as the standard dot system for U.S. schools, publishers, and libraries in 1918--the first standard code in the United States." --Bogart (see ref. note below).
