Scope & Content: Atlas is bound in a plain, dark-brown paper cover and contains twenty-four maps, each single-side embossed on a single sheet (14 x 13.5 in.) of light brown paper. Landmasses are smooth and outlined in a continuous line of small raised dots; water areas are filled with a pattern of larger concave dots; and cities are indicated by a single raised dot. Each map has a braille title at top center of page; a braille number at top left or at bottom left, near binding edge; and braille labeling (cities are abbreviated) on both smooth and textured surfaces. Except for the first four maps, each is "framed" within a raised-line border that has evenly spaced single dots to mark longitude and latitude. Titles of maps (translated): 1. North Pole 2.
