Administrative History: Rod Kossick, an orientation and mobility (O&M) specialist hired through contract from 1966 to 1968 by the World Rehabilitation Fund, New York, to establish blind rehabilitation and vocational services in South Vietnam for war-blinded Vietnamese, filmed portions of the pilot project based at the National Rehabilitation Institute (NRI) in Saigon. Some of the footage was used as a "thumbnail description" of the project for presentation, with Kossick providing live-voice narration. A separate audio tape of traditional Vietnamese music, performed by musicians who were mostly blinded trainees at the NRI center, served as the background soundtrack.
