Scope & Content: Debbie Willis, the director of the Accessible Tests Department at the American Printing House for the Blind (APH), talks about her role in the development of educational materials, which began in 1974, when she was hired as a research assistant in the APH Educational Research Department and worked with June Morris on aural study systems and the recorded World Book Encyclopedia. She explains the research and development processes for educational products and how they have evolved over the last thirty-five years. Products mentioned that have been made/distributed by APH include: Listen and Think, Braille 'n Speak, and Art History Through Touch and Sound. She also discusses the role of the Accessible Tests Department (initially called Test Central, when it was formed in 2002, and renamed Accessible Tests in 2003).
