History/Provenance: "Scholastic bought Weekly Reader from Reader's Digest Association Inc. in February. Co-branded titles under the new format will include Junior Scholastic/Current Events and Scholastic News/Weekly Reader" --APH Annual Report 2012, Development section. Production of My Weekly Reader (the initial Weekly Reader publication) in braille and large print began in 1946. This issue was transferred to the APH Museum by the APH Development Department. In 2013, magazine services of the Development Dept. came under the company's Customer Service Department (information provided by Nancy Glur who worked with magazine subscriptions in the Development Dept. and, when the subscription services were transferred to Customer Service, became an employee in the latter department).
