Description: White envelope has a red cachet. at left, that shows a blind man walking with a long cane and a man recording [a talking book?]. "Institute for the Deaf and Blind, Worcester 1881-1981" is printed beneath the cachet in Afrikaans and English. The envelope has two postage stamps commemorating the Institute's 100th anniversary and a Worcester cancellation date of June 12, 1981. One 5-cent stamp features an illustration of a deaf student using a hearing device on a blue background. The deaf school's motto, "Effata," which means "Be opened" in Aramaic," is printed along the left edge. A 15-cent stamp has an illustration of a male student reading a braille book on a red background. The blind school's motto "Fiat Lux" (Let there be light) is printed in simbraille along the left edge. A printed card with information about the Institute and the stamps in both English and Afrikaans is enclosed in the envelope.
