History/Provenance: COMSTAC (Commission on Standards and Accreditation of Services for the Blind) was established in 1963 as "an autonomous body" of leaders in "community planning, in a variety of professions and businesses, in government and voluntary agencies for the blind" in the U.S. to develop standards, provide evaluation guides, and create a national voluntary accreditation system for blindness agencies. Pamphlet was among material donated to the O&M Archives by two retired O&M specialists.
