Description: Game board is embossed with dots to indicate "black" squares and is permanently fixed in the bottom of a cardboard box. Holes in the board accomodate the plastic game pieces. Additional holes on the left and right of the board hold pieces that are not in play. Game pieces are black and brown, with the latter having a central point on top. Pieces are further distinguished by their top shape. Set is missing one pawn. There are 43 pieces. Box exterior is covered with a reddish brown paper with black marks to simulate wood. A paper print label glued to the top exterior of the lid identifies the game and its pieces, the manufacturer (now called the Royal National Institute for the Blind), and the game catalogue no. 9167. 2004.73a - Box with game board; .73b - lid; .73c - game pieces.
