Description: Combination composing stick/chase for book spine labels; brass table with raised shelf on back; steel machine screw with knurled brass head on left locks and positions two (2) sliding brass bars, defining the width of a single row of set type; the two bars have grooves that track on the raised shelf on the back; steel bar screwed into groove in center of shelf fixes relative position of the adjusting screw; set with brass type and lead spacing, "1962-1991".
