Description: Black-and-white photo is mounted on a white card with gilt border. Photo shows a girl sitting on an ornately carved chair. She is blind and appears to be an early teen. Her right arm rests on a cloth-covered table/prop to her right. Her hair is cut short, and she is wearing a shirtwaist with slightly puffed sleeves and fitted cuffs and a full, long plaid skirt. On the reverse, at center, is printed "Draper & Husted, Photographers, Ridge Avenue & Wallace St., Philada." Cartes de visite were popular during the Civil War era. Top corners are creased; foxing.
