Scope & Content: An audiocassette recording made of a November 22, 1986 National Public Radio (NPR) broadcast featuring a visit by David Baron to the Carroll Center for the Blind (CCB), in Boston (Newton, MA), during its 50th anniversary year. Baron, who produced the report for NPR, talked with CCB instructors, a client, and then-executive director, Rachel Rosenbaum. The report also includes a portion of a CCB sensory-development training session, the sound of a speech synthesizer, and an excerpt from a recorded 1966 speech presented by Father Thomas Carroll to the Blinded Veterans Association (BVA). Typewritten label on side 1 of the cassette.
