Summary/Description: One volume in a series of three books for the introduction of braille. In grade 1 braille (except for braille title page, which is in contracted braille); single-sided embossing. Front cover and title page have "Completing Contracted Braille," which is the title of Book Three in the series, but the content pages are for Book One in the series, "Uncontracted Braille." Also from title page: "Based on Standard Braille Series, Original Edition by the Illinois Braille Committee of 1933, Revised Edition by the Illinois Braille Committee of 1960. Embossed, 1960 by the Illinois Braille and Sight Saving School, Jacksonville, Illinois. Printed and Distributed by the American Printing House for the Blind." Paperbound in yellow cover, saddle-stitching, with title in embossed letters and braille on front. Handwritten notes in ink on title page and inside back cover.
