Description: Black-and-white negative; sideview of Tina Lou Wallace circa 1935, when she was a braille proofreader at APH, facing right and sitting in a wooden office chair at a table, using a Picht braillewriter that has "Made in Germany" on a side label. In the background, at right, is a roll-top desk with a tactile map of the United States on top; at left, a window through which can be seen shelves of books. Title of negative from a caption in the 69th Annual Report of the American Printing House for the Blind (1937), in which the edited photo was published. Negative is marked with 4 "V" notches; "Eastman - Kodak - Nitrate" in margin. See "Notes" field regarding date.
