Summary/Description: A brief biography of First Lady Laura Welch Bush, wife of George W. Bush (43rd president of the United States), produced in accessible format for the White House. Braille (contracted, single-side embossing) and large print editions are twin-loop bound together (flip-flop), each with a separate cover sheet featuring an illustration of the White House at top center. Cover sheet of large print edition is ink stamped "Copy." Above that is handwritten "Sample" in green ink.

History/Provenance: Brief White House biographies of both George W. Bush and Laura Bush were produced in large print and braille at the American Printing House for the Blind. Orders for the accessible format biographies were placed with APH through the President's Correspondence Analyst Trudy Roddick, who was in contact with APH Contract Administration Manager Jan Carroll and APH Vice President of Public Affairs Gary Mudd.
