Description: A handheld, battery-operated device that identifies and reads aloud, in English, the color of an object and provides increasing audible tones to indicate light intensity. Device has an ivory-colored plastic exterior, with a black inset area on the top where two round push buttons are located side-by-side (left button for color identification; right button for light intensity); a round, black sensor head at the front end; and, on the reverse, a speaker opening and a 9-volt battery compartment with slide-off lid. Device is wider at the sensor end and curves slightly toward the reverse side. Above the push buttons, in colorful, lowercase standard print: "beta-color"; below the buttons in small, white standard print: "Tolsdorf Signalp. GmbH." The number "138" is handwritten in black marker on the inside of the battery compartment.
