Administrative History: The Argosy Recording Club for the Blind was started in 1960 in the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Norfolk. A volunteer program of recorded books for the blind, conducted under the auspices of the National Braille Press, books were narrated and recorded by inmates of the men's prison.
