Medallion features a raised figure of Apollo on front and words "American Optometric Association." Reverse is inscribed "Apollo Award, In Recognition for Significant Contributions to the Visual Welfare of Mankind." A brushed brass plate on front of base is inscribed: "Presented to Natalie Carter Barraga, Ed.D. 1979." Bottom of base is lined with black felt.
