Description: The rectangular plaque has a deep-etched silver metal plate with black background and pewter-like finish mounted on solid dark-stained wood. It shows the APH trademark, consisting of the letters APH formed in a circular shape, and the company name, American Printing House for the Blind, Inc., beneath it. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office seal is at the bottom left of the plaque. Both the trademark and the seal are gold-colored. "Registered on April 20, 1993, American Printing House for the Blind, Louisville, Kentucky, 1,765,666" is inscribed above the APH mark. "American Printing House for the Blind, Inc., For Audio Cassette Tapes For The Visually Impaired, Braille And Large Print Books, Magazines And Pamphlets For The Visually Impaired (U.S. CLS. 36 And 38) SN 74-274,928 Filed May 1992, First Use: July 1979 In Commerce July 1979" is inscribed beneath the trademark. The plaque manufacturer is identified on a gold paper label on the back at top center.
