Description: Wooden chassis covered with blue-gray faux sharkskin and a textured black vinyl with black rubber corners; deck is a black plastic with bright aluminum panels; black and silver dials for volume, tone, and record level on bottom of deck along with track selection slider, and red record button; recording level gauge and analog index counter on left, lever for tape direction and fast forward button on right; two clear plastic AMPEX tape reels above removable black head cover; gray plastic tape speed selector: 7 1/2, 3 3/4, and 1 7/8 ips between reels; removable hinged lid; black rubber carrying handle on side; four rubber feet and internal speaker grill on bottom; locking plastic hatch on side for power cord and accessories; jacks in recess on side for external speaker, microphone, headphone, and auxiliary; "APH Sony SONY-O-MATIC" on head cover. "Solely for the Use of the Blind, Serial No. 2366, American Printing House for the Blind, 1839 Frankfort Avenue, Louisville, Ky 40206" on metal tag on side; original aluminum external microphone stored in textured grap plastic cover with gray plastic cable and mini-jack.
