Description: This abacus is one of the first run of 150 produced at APH. The first run was used for testing purposes to determine whether APH would continue production. Abacus has a black wooden frame and 13 columns with 1 bead above the bar and 4 beads below. The back is enclosed and lined with red felt on top of a foam rubber pad to prevent beads from slipping once placed. The beads are made of wood and slide on metal rods. It has raised column and unit markings along the bottom front edge of the frame.
