Administrative History: The Minneapolis Society for the Blind was founded in 1914 as a non-profit organization to assist blind and visually impaired persons by providing services that included rehabilitation and vocational training, counseling and referral, and recreational programs. In 1993, the Society merged with the St. Paul Society for the Blind.
